Daniel J Hay (1957- )

Standing in the middle of a creek digging gravel to run through a sluice gave me lots of time to think about my goals. The creek was only two inches deep when i started, and when I had finished I was swimming with my shovel in five feet of water. The hole was 4-6 feet wide and it was 40 feet long. That's a lot of material to move by hand, one scoop at a time.

Was it successful? Not on a monetary basis - only about $50 in gold was recovered during a six month stint spending 4 hours a day in icy cold water. I wasn't there for the gold so much as I was there for an excursion into my own mind and soul. For me it was an enjoyable period away from most distractions. I wrote music, and I wrote children's literature. I played music, I took thousands of photographs while on hikes through the mountains with my dogs, and I met a few new friends.

I did a lot of pondering. And then I came out of the forest with my itty bitty gold pile and began rebuilding enterprises that fit my goals. This site is the access point to the many many projects I choose to work on now. I hope you will find each linking button to be a magical experience for yourself; they are for me.

I am presently rebuilding all my pages, projects, and links. Please come back soon.
